Venezuelan designer Carolina Herrera first came into contact with Vogue editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland while frequenting Studio 54. Diana encouraged Carolina to launch her eponymous label, which quickly established itself with stylish yet classic designs.

Wes Gordon is carrying on his late mother’s legacy with an elegant yet modern line, garnering celebrity clients like Maye Musk (wife of one of the world’s quirkiest billionaires) and Kiara Nirghin (South African inventor, model, and beauty queen). Monique Lhuillier first launched her bridal label, Monique Lhuillier, in 1996. But it didn’t truly gain prominence until 2002 when Angelina Jolie made headlines by donning one of Monique Lhuillier’s black strapless gowns to attend the Golden Globes and wearing it herself to wear to their ceremony. This moment marked “when people started recognizing my name correctly.”

Reality star Kristin Cavallari chose a Monique Lhuillier dress when she married NFL superstar Jay Cutler in 2013. Kristin added a cascading veil and white peonies to complete her bridal look.

Posen and Ball, both professional American Ballet Theater dancers, celebrated their second wedding anniversary this year by sharing a lovely Instagram post. In it, they featured photos from their celebration, with Harrison Ball being seen dancing.
